FOC Woods to Waves Adventure

EVENT ITINERARY Three Days/Two Nights

Our drive will start on Sunday morning just north of the Golden Gate bridge, then proceed north on Hwy 101. We will have a unique lunch stop around noon before we navigate through the “Avenue of the Giants", before settling in at the famous Benbow Lodge. We will have a group dinner, seated outside on the patio overlooking the lush redwood forest and river at the base of the patio. The next morning after enjoying breakfast downstairs, we will proceed south on 101 and then toward the coast in what is one of the most spectacular winding road for over an hour prior to emerging from the forest and meeting the Pacific Ocean. We will have a couple of stops along the way to stretch our legs, view the scenery, and some historic sites. Lunch will be in Noyo near Fort Bragg at the old fishing village overlooking the boats of this active fishing area. After lunch, we will precede south on Hwy 1 stopping a couple of times to visit additional historic and beautiful locations before reaching our destination at the Lodge at Bodega Bay. Dinner that evening will be at Drakes Restaurant with views overlooking the tides. The following day we will have a short two hour drive back to the Bay Area which will conclude our trip.

REGISTRATION

There is a $50 fee per person by the club for insurance and event accoutrements.

Lunches, dinners and the hotel reservations are on your own.  Restaurant reservation and hotel booking information will be provided to registrants. Both hotels have various room types and costs for your comfort.

Accommodations are very limited so register early.
