FOC Shenandoah Wine Country Overnight Adventure - Wait List
Please join us for a great drive and overnight stay in the beautiful “Napa of the Sierra Foothills”. The Shenandoah wine region is home to many smaller production wineries. We will be visiting some favorites in the region.

ITINERARY
Thursday, May 16, 2024
Our adventure will begin on Thursday morning in the town of Clayton at Cup O' Jo Coffee House.
- Gather at 8:15 am to enjoy coffee and pastries at Cup O' Joe.
- Drivers meeting at 9 am with prompt departure thereafter.offee, pastries as well as restrooms are available. We will have a brief drivers’ meeting and then depart at 9:00 sharp for our adventure. Digital driving maps will be provided prior to the event for download onto your Smartphone.
We will have a fun drive on some twisty roads up to our lunch in Lodi (included). Lunch will be outdoors, weather permitting, in their gorgeous outdoor setting. After lunch we will be taking some nice winding roads in the Sierra Foothills to the town of Volcano to stretch our legs and participate in a fun historic treasure hunt.
We will then proceed to our hotel in the town of Plymouth for the evening with dinner to follow.
Friday, May 17. 2024
Friday morning will begin with a continental breakfast (included with your room booking) served in the lobby. At 9:00 am we will have a moderate morning walk through some of the historic sites including the old pioneer cemetery.
At 11:00 am we will depart for our first winery just a few miles away. Wine tasting is available to anyone interested on your own.
At noon we will head to a very special winery where we will have our “bring your own picnic lunch” with views overlooking the vineyards under a covered patio.
After lunch there will be a group drive back to the Bay Area.
$75 per person. Thursday lunch is included. Rooms and Thursday’s dinner are paid individually. Details on how to make your dinner reservation and hotel room will be provided after your event registration. We have reserved 14 rooms/14 couples in the beautiful boutique Rest Hotel in historic downtown Plymouth. We have secured preferred rates for standard Queen and King rooms as well as King Suites.
TWO-WAY RADIOS
For our drives we recommend participants have a walkie talkie so that we can communicate during the drive as needed, and help advise our group of changing conditions, especially in areas without cell coverage. Please note that using a radio should not alter the ability to properly control your vehicle at all times.
