About the Event
Our drive starts in the San Juan Batista area, taking scenic and exilerating backroads to Eberle Winery in Paso Robles for lunch with tasting of five wines.
We'll then visit the historic Hearst Castle in San Simeon, designed by architect Julia Morgan, the first licensed female architect in California. While she designed over 700 buildings in her lifetime, the crown jewel of her career is La Cuesta Encantada (The Enchanted Hill), better known as Hearst Castle.
Our 3 pm Grand Rooms Tour provides an overview of the history of the house, with viewing of the Assembly Room, Refectory, Morning Room, Billiard Room and Theater. After the tour, our admission allows us full access to the exterior property around the castle including the magestic Neptune Pool.
